General Conversations

A woman I know owns Chasing Hope Therapy Foundation. Her name is Brie. She had told me that she would love to have us do a field trip to her stable.

Here's some information from their FB page:

"Our mission is to improve the lives of children with disabilities, by supplementing funding and assisting families with access to PT, OT, or ST services who incorporate equine movement in their therapy toolbox."

"Chasing Hope Therapy Foundation was created in honor of our son, Chase Savage. He was adopted through foster care, and suffered horrific abuse in infancy, causing severe brain damage. Due to his disabilities, he attends multiple therapies, many times a week. Hippotherapy is one of those, and we are fortunate to have the resources to cover his therapy. But we discovered many families do not as therapy sessions are very expensive and most hippotherapy providers do not take insurance, especially Medicaid due to poor reimbursement and excessive paperwork. We are hoping to bridge the gap for families that would benefit from hippotherapy, but may not be able to afford it."
