5000 Words Writing Club for High School Students

I’m forwarding this information for those who may be interested. Please email Kelly Griffiths at kellylynngriffiths@gmail.com if interested.

Read below:

Hi friends!

If you're receiving this email, you've probably taken a 5000 Words class in the past. Some of you expressed interest in continuing. Below is what I have in mind for 2024/25.

For high school students: a once-a-month writing club with a workshop focus. I'm calling it 5000 Words to keep things simple, but we all know you'll write more than 5000 words haha!

I booked the small conference room at the Berea Library for the last Tuesday of the month (starting in September) from 9:15 - 10:30 AM. We'll have writing prompts, a grammar component, and workshops. The out-of-class work will be to finish the writing assignments and comment on your peers (reading submissions of less than 3000 words).
