Bring Holiday Cheer to Samaritan Care: Join Us for Christmas Crafts & Caroling with the Kids

Hi everyone! I'm reaching out to explore interest in volunteer opportunities at Samaritan Care Nursing Home this December and beyond. The residents really enjoy having kids around, and this is a great way to bring some joy during the holidays and throughout the year.

Here are the ideas:

December: Ornament-making with the residents and a possible separate date for caroling.

Possible future activities include building bird feeders/birdhouses with the gentlemen, a ladies' tea party, and more—each activity will be a new way to connect and serve.

Location & Timing: Samaritan Care Nursing Home is located on 18, just down the street from St. Francis. Each activity will be one hour, always in the afternoon from roughly 2 to 3 p.m on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

Address: 806 E Washington St, Medina, OH 44256

Group Size: To keep from overwhelming the residents, each activity we’ll have a maximum of 10 to 15 kids, with families welcome to rotate in and out over the months. Parents are also welcome to help or participate in activities!

Feel free to participate in one activity, all of them, or just those that fit your schedule and interests.

You're welcome to join us in bringing smiles and joy to the residents however you can!

To gauge interest and availability to follow are a few quick polls.

Hi Heather. I'm finalizing details for the ornament-making. How many kids from crew will be coming and what ages? Thanks! Courtney
