Hi All, Welcome to all our new members!

I couldn't finish planning this event in the spring; the summer is flying by. I would love to get this on the calendar in September.

Please let me know what Friday in September would work best for everyone. It looks like Vicki posted an event for a Friday in September, I believe it is in the evening on September 15th so we won't pick that day. How about we decide if the 22nd or 29th is best?

I am happy to host at my home or we can see if the Buckeye Library has a room available so please let me know your preference. For those new, I live in Spencer Township/Homerville in Medina County.

For the last several years, I have hosted a Book Club Party (I can't find the previous posts right now 🤔).

A book is picked and we meet up, after reading it with our kids, to have a party. It involves food, decorations, activities, and discussion related to the book. I also try to pick a book that has an accompanying Brave Writer educational curriculum for additional academic support (if desired).

I am gauging interest in a Book Club Party for the end of May.

We haven't actually read this book yet as a family so it will be new to us as well. Please read reviews online/Amazon.

The siblings have a rivalry, this is a single-parent family and the parent is fairly checked out in involvement with the kids, the book ends in such a way that kids can't wait to read the next book (cliffhanger maybe), and there is math and economic principles in the book that many people are pleased with.

Ages:

8-10 (suggested) - older and younger kiddos are welcome. (my boys are 11 and almost 13).

Obviously, we will enjoy lemonade and lemon-related foods and I thought it would be fun for the kids to come up with their own business ideas to share along with discussing the book.
