Cleveland Art Museum - 4/28
It has been several years since I have enjoyed visiting the Cleveland Art Museum. I thought I would open up a visit to the museum to all of you as I would enjoy your company. Please comment on which day works better for those interested.
Date:
Friday, April 28.
Museum hours: 10:00 am. - 9:00 pm.
Cost:
The general museum is always free.
There is a special exhibit, The Tutors: Art and Majesty in Renaissance England, but tickets are an additional fee.
Parking in the Museum Parking Garage on Jeptha Drive (recommended):
Flat rate $14.00 for nonmembers
Thoughts:
We can meet up at the museum and stay together or break up into groups based on age and interests as the day goes on. Feel free to come and go as needed. Due to our farm schedule and driving distance, I don't plan on being there before 11 am.
While the special exhibit is exciting, I have decided my family won't try to fit that in at this visit. You are definitely welcome to decide differently.
There are public tours offered daily at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Free; ticket required
(I believe this is first come, first serve and may have a limit).
The museum has the ArtLens app that I plan to download before visiting. "ArtLens App enhances the visitor’s museum experience by providing the option to design individual tours, offering tools to better understand artworks through augmented reality, and guiding users with interactive real-time maps." My hope is this app will allow us to create our own personal, experience while visiting.
There is a cafeteria for food that is delicious from memory but you can plan to pack a picnic lunch and we can find an appropriate place to eat. I will probably buy lunch at the Cafe for my kids and bring snacks for outside or on the car ride.
We can organize carpools if necessary.
Thanks!

Thank you so much again for arranging this trip to the Art Museum, Lauren! It was such a fun time! So glad we could all hang out there together. 😘🥰😍
