Saxton McKinley House Tour
I am scheduling a Saxton McKinley House Tour, home to the National First Ladies' Library, located at 331 Market Ave. S., Canton. (Remember to Like or Follow this post.)
Tour Information:
First Families Are Families First: A Kid Sized Tour of the Saxton-McKinley House (This tour is intended for a multi-age audience.)
What was it like to live in Canton during the Victorian era? Travel back in time to the mid-to-late 1800’s and explore what life was like for the kids growing up in the Saxton-McKinley house. What games did children play before there were videogames? What did they eat and where did they go to the bathroom? Students will play games, draw pictures, and experience music as they learn about Ida McKinley and her family and explore the home on this interactive tour.
The cost for the tour is $5 for students and $7 for adults.
They also offer an educational program, lasting an hour, that we could consider doing if there is enough interest, and families going, as this program cost $100, and we would have to split the cost among the families attending. This program is as follows:
Current Program Offerings
Ohio First Ladies Hat Box
