General Conversations

Thirteen years ago my friend and I started MedinaCHF. As the founder and coordinator of this group, I've been super blessed to have come alongside over 90 families throughout these years to offer them support in their homeschool journey.

This group has been such a blessing in my own life and my children's. I will forever cherish all of the wonderful memories made because of MedinaCHF. It's through this group that I've created lifetime friendships.

But now it's time to pass the torch over to a new coordinator. My youngest son's education starting this fall will consist of his taking college courses for the last two years of high school so that he can graduate with an Associate's Degree, so my own personal homeschool journey is coming to an end.

For this reason, I'd like to announce that your new MedinaCHF coordinator will be Nichole Meyer.

Some of you may not know, but Nichole and I first met in the late 90s while in college. After graduation, we lost touch and just recently reconnected again. I believe our reconnection was totally God's plan. The odds that she attended the same church as a mutual friend, lived just 7 minutes away from me, is a Christ-follower, and had just begun her own homeschool journey could not possibly have been a coincidence. I know in my heart that God's plan was for her to lead this group.

Nichole will be transitioning to this new position starting today and at the end of May will officially be the new MedinaCHF coordinator. I'll be here to help Nichole as needed.

In the meantime, you'll still see me around in the homeschool community as my plan is to continue to teach Spanish to homeschooled students.
