High School & Middle School

⭐️ You can stay or drop off your kids. Due to space we do not have room for younger siblings to stay during this event.

📖 What are we reading:

📖 Middle schoolers will be reading: “Bud, Not Buddy” we will chat up the book together and have a snack and activity

📖 High schoolers will be reading: “The Giver”

Teens: we will discuss The Giver for the first half of our time and then we will have a “Bring Your Own Book” time for the second half. Have your teen bring a favorite or a recent 5-star book to share. All they need to do is show us the book and tell us what they loved about it and why they would recommend it. It will be very casual. No formal presentation needed!

✅ What is required:

Please have the book read before we meet. Have your kids use post-its to mark any favorite parts, any special character traits/growth, and parts that “remind them of something else”, and areas of question… truly anything they might want to chat up with the group that stands out to them. My kids have enjoyed writing a quick sticky note for each chapter to summarize the chapter. Totally up to you.

🗣️ What will happen:

We will all be meeting together and then split up by middle school and high school.
