Welcome New Members

Please help me in welcoming twelve new members to our homeschool social group! YAY! :).

Below are all of their names and a little bit of information that they wrote to share. 🩵

Jenna Pitsenberger - We attend Medina First. We just had our twin girls, and are now a family of six. We are looking forward to homeschooling this year, and meeting new friends.

Nicole Davis - We live in Wadsworth and have two grown kids who are grown and flown.  Zoe is 14 and beginning 8th grade.  Zoe has Down syndrome, and we're certain that God gave her to us so that we can learn more from her than she will ever learn from us.

Christa Tran - We live in Medina and really enjoy homeschooling.  My daughter, Ryley, is 13 going into 8th and son, Enzo, is 10 going into 5th.  We are excited to be joining this social group!

Jenna Keene - Name is Jenna Keene and my husband's name Danny.  My son, Nolan Merriman, is 13 and this will be our second year of home schooling.  We are a blended family and we enjoy our hobby farm.

Yvonne Park - I have a son, Jaehoon, who is 13, a daughter, Hannah, who is 11 and another son, Joseph, who is just about to turn 8. We moved here from CT a few years ago for my husband's job (Coast Guard). We have found music lessons and tennis and the kids take some classes at MAG church, but we have been looking for a group that is more about opportunities for field trips and getting together with other kids.

Rachel Palmer - We are excited to be part of your group! Here is a little about the Palmer family. We moved to Medina from Pennsylvania in 2020 right as everything shut down! We have 8 children, 2 of whom have graduated already. We love studying history, music and nature. We love being outdoors, playing board games and playing ultimate frisbee. Our kids are involved in soccer, gymnastics, cross country, violin and piano.

Deborah Hershberger - My husband, Ammon, and I have four children.  Gideon 8, Ephraim 7, Hadassah 4, Obadiah 1.  We recently moved to Medina, Ohio from Southern Indiana.  We have been homeschooling since my oldest started kindergarten and we are thoroughly enjoying all the adventures that homeschooling brings us!  We love the flexibility of spending extra time exploring the subjects we are most interested in, as well as the freedom to integrate our Christian faith and values into our studies.  I am a former special education teacher and my husband works remotely for a manufacturing company.  We are looking forward to meeting other homeschoolers in our area and making new connections.

Carey Brown - We have homeschooled for one year and now feel we need a group to belong to with like thinkers.  Luke is 11yrs old . He currently is in karate and just achieved his blackbelt. He also has been playing on a baseball team since he was the age of 5. He is very social and kindhearted and has been begging me to find a group that he can make friends with.

Lauren Callahan - We are a family of 6 - with a 7 yo Boy, 4 yo twin girls that will be 5 in the fall and an almost 2 yo girl. We started home schooling last year and just want the kids to be able to make some friends and have some fun activities. We are a family who loves Jesus. I was a full time mechanical engineer before becoming a stay at home mom and honestly having other mothers to relate as well as create family friendships is also my goal.  :)

Kamie Stringer - The 2025-2026 school year will be my first year homeschooling.   I’m a mix of excited and nervous.  I will have an 8 year old daughter and 14 year old daughter being homeschooled.  I also have a 16 (boy) that will continue at public school.  And I also currently have two relative foster care placements (boys) that will be in public school.   My why for homeschool is to provide more individualized learning for both of my girls, have more time to foster our relationship as a family.  And also, I want to model and lead my kids to grow in their faith and I look forward to them having daily time in the word and family discussion to support our faith.

Anna Souders - We have two children, Joshua and Lucy. I met my husband at CVCA and have known each other since we were 12 years old. I am a Physician Assistant and my husband is a Veterinarian.  We love animals and have 3 tuxedo cats. Lucy has been learning volleyball and Joshua plays tennis. My husband and I have run many half marathons and he played college baseball.  We love Ohio State and used to live in Columbus! :)

Charrie Denton - My name is Charrie Denton.  I recently connected with Vickie Dibler at the Medina County Fair as both our eldest sons participated in 4H.  I heard she connected with you and also encouraged me to send the attached registration to you.  As noted on the form, my 14 year old son is at Medina Christian this year and not being homeschooled now.  But my 3 younger ones are all being homeschooled.
