Events & Field Trips

Nature will serve as the inspiration for homeschoolers who want to improve their writing skills on Thursday, February 9 at Oenslager Nature Center from 2 to 3:15 p.m. We’ll imitate the styles of skilled authors and use patterns to write poetry. The classes are offered individually but build upon one another to develop skills. Students will need a pencil, journal, and thesaurus. Part of the class may be outdoors so dress appropriately. A writing assignment will be given after each class, and students will be expected to share what they wrote at the following month’s class. Class will be cancelled if any school district in Medina County is closed due to inclement weather. Ages 8 to 12. Free. Register by February 7: https://reservations.medinacountyparks.com/programs/
