Cost: $5 per student
Grades 4-8 Nightingale Opera Theatre presents scenes from Jonathan Dove’s opera Pinocchio. The cast of the classic fairytale includes Melissa Davis (cricket), Denise Milner Howell (Pinocchio), Brian Johnson (Geppetto), Lara Troyer (Blue Fairy) and Cynthia Skelley-Wohlschlager (Snail). Join Pinocchio as he attempts to discover what it means to be a real boy. Curriculum Connection: Literature
These are fun, and for $5 a student (teachers are free), it's a great chance to see the historic Akron Civic Theatre! Unfortunately, the Wurlitzer organ is out for repair (their sing-alongs with the organ are amazing), but they will have some music beforehand on piano. We may go to the Spaghetti Warehouse either before or after, as well. :-)

*She said that the spring concert in April 2023 (The Freedom Brass Band) may be opened up for more grades than just K-3. If so, we may go... and I'll let everyone know in advance. :-)
