Miraculous life of Edwards Tulane

September’s Middle School High School Book Club:

Excited to offer something a little unique for middle and high schoolers.

⏰ When: September 27th

⏰ Time: 10:30-12 (pack a lunch if you’d like and the kids can stay and get to know each other until 2:00)

🏠 Where: Kristina Bota’s house- 4197 Fenn Rd, Medina, 44256 (if the numbers are high we may get a spot at the library… but my home is preferred)

⭐️ You can stay or drop off your kids. Due to space we may not have room for younger siblings to stay during this event.

📖 What are we reading:

“The Miraculous Life of Edward Tulane” by Kate DiCamillo

✅ What is required:

Please have the book read before we meet. This book is an easy read to get us all back in gear. Have your kids use post-its to mark any favorite parts, any special character traits/growth, and parts that “remind them of something else”, and areas of question… truly anything they might want to chat up with the group that stands out to them.

🗣️ What will happen:

We will all be meeting together for a bit of the discussion

time and then break out into small groups to get to know each other on a smaller scale and give more opportunities for discussion and sharing.

Around 12 we will eat packed lunch- please pack your own. (If you need to leave that’s ok, but these ages need a different kind of connection and community and they’re welcome to hang out until 2)
